A project cooperation between the Lyoness Child & Family Foundation Association and Lyoness Greece.
There are 27 children and adolescents aged between 6 and 18 years, that live at the Orfanotrofeio Volou Children's Home. The children have either lost their parents or they have found a new home there through other difficult circumstances. The home has a history that goes back over 100 years and it is financed through a government grant and private donations. However, in this financial crisis which has spread throughout Europe, and in Greece in particular, the funds are not enough to cover their most essential needs and excursions are a luxury.
In part of the "Angel for a Day" excursion, the Children's Home was supplied with important items for daily use (groceries, hygiene items, detergents and cleaning products, appliances for the home, toys and school equipment). Afterwards, they all went on an excursion to places where they could have fun, play sport and eat together, and the highlight of the programme was a visit to the zoo.
Again, the "Angel for a Day" excursion was actively supported by Lyoness Members and Loyalty Merchants, who made the day an unforgettable experience for the children and adolescents.
We would like to thank the following Loyalty Merchants:
The aim of the "Angel for a Day" excursion, was to support the Orfanotrofeio Volou Children's Home by buying important items for them (groceries, hygiene items, detergents and cleaning products, appliances for the home, toys and school equipment), and to organise an excursion for the children to have a day away from the home and daily life.
