The NMS Mooskirchen football team at the 11th Unified Indoor Football Championship!

On Monday, November 10th, 2014 the Unified Indoor Football Championship took place for the eleventh time. The event is organized every year by the “Landesreferat für Inklusionssport” (lit. Department for Inclusion Sports) in cooperation with the Styrian education authority. Our ambassadors, the NMS Mooskirchen football team took part in the championship again this year.

The teams that take part in the Unified Indoor Football Championship consist of students with and without SEN (Special Educational Need) and have the opportunity to compete together in a sporting competition. Each team consist of not more than 10 students, of which at least 5 are kids with SEN. During each match 6 students compete against each other, of which at least 3 are kids with SEN. Occasionally a carer or a teacher have to support a child during the game. However the kids visibly have a lot of fun to compete in these matches.

This year 16 teams from 12 different school from all over Styria took part in the championship. The players from the NMS Mooskirchen were able to prevail against all these teams and took first place.

We are very proud of our young ambassadors and are very happy with them about their victory!
